The leaves fall from the trees in Florida just as they do up north, but they grow back right away and the trees aren't exactly in sync with each other. So the woods looks sparse for a while, but I don't remember it looking naked like it gets in Michigan (keep looking and you'll find a picture illustrating what I mean).
